Removal of Hard Skin

Hard skin is caused by excessive pressure and friction and may be removed with debriding the skin and alleviating any pain caused by the extra pressure.

Cracked Heels

Cracked heels are treated in a similar way and the excessive hard skin is reduced which in turn reduces the actual cracks and again this leads to alleviation of any discomfort and pain.

Thickened Nails

Thickened nails can be unsightly and uncomfortable but are easily treated by being filed down to a normal thickness which releases any pressure that can be felt on the top of the nail from footwear etc...

Diabetic Feet

People who suffer from diabetes must take extra care of their feet and see a podiatrist on a regular basis. We can keep an eye on diabetic foot and look out for any potential problems that may arise from the condition.

Ingrowing (Ingrown) Toenails

There are different types of ingrowing nails but one thing they all have in common is that they are all very painful! They can usually be dealt with in a normal treatment where the nail is cut back and cleared, once the nail or spike is removed instant relief is experienced.

Verrucae Treatments

Verrucaes are a virus that can either be contagious or can lie dormant in the body, treatment involves a regular application of a caustic application which is safe and painfree. Treatment is usually successful at eight to ten weeks.

Corns and Calluses

A corn is a condensed mass of hard skin that is shaped in a cone shape with a tip. They can be very painful and can feel like a stone in your shoe. Corns can be removed quite easily and without any pain or discomfort but they may return if there is constant repetitive friction or pressure on one particular point of the foot.

Callus is usually caused by excessive pressure or friction over an area of the foot eg. over a bony area or on the heels.
